Greetings, good Knights!
I’m happy to wish you a wonderful New Year’s Eve and an inspiring start to the following 2025!
But I’m not here without a gift (which I hope it is), as I’m also glad to announce that the first-ever patch for Endless Fight has come out. And it’s not just any patch – it’s a New Year update. The team tried so hard that they crashed the game a couple of times. But eventually, they are ready to start presenting improvements as promised. With this update, we are opening the series of fixes and innovations for the game, so we hope that this is going to become our little gift for you, just like it is for us.
Oh, that reminds me. Usually, as we get older, the holiday mood fades away, and it’s getting harder to find this… What’s it called?.. Right, holiday spirit. That’s also my case. Especially with the weather here tricking us into thinking it’s spring already, it was hard to find that holiday spark. But working on this update – imagining snowy landscapes, creating festive assets, and testing the winter mechanics – brought back our New Year cheer.
And yet, the transformation of Endless Fight – imagining snowy landscapes, creating festive assets, and testing the winter mechanics – brought back the holiday spirit to the team and me (don’t call ghostbusters). With the only difference that today, we are the Santa Claus, who creates and brings joy with his own hands.
Now, as the New Year is coming and the patch is ready, we only hope that it will bring you the same amount of joy as it did to us while developing.
And now, let’s dive into what this update has to offer. As the first patch in the series, we decided to start with such crucial things in our game as weather and existing enemies. Here’s the list:
Weather Changes
- Winter gameplay mechanics: Keep swiping to avoid freezing in the cold!
- Fog: New technology with reduced visibility makes battles even more challenging.
- Rain: Now speeds up enemies instead of slowing them, adding an extra layer of difficulty.
- Seasonal visuals: Trees in the background are bare and covered in snow during winter.
- Seasonal rotation: Winter is now the starting season until the next update.
Enemy Updates
- Teleporter: Now pauses for 0.2 seconds before teleporting, giving you a chance to strike. A new teleportation effect signals when it’s vulnerable.
- Face-huggers: Less likely to appear early in the game. Their spawn rate increases with each wave.
- Side demons: Move slower during the early waves for a smoother start.
Bug Fixes
- Resolved an issue where demons wouldn’t spawn after minimizing the game.
- Removed cricket sounds during winter nights.
- Fixed a bug where the UI appeared in front of the pause menu.
